Building a Seamless Digital Experience for Heggerty

For Heggerty.org, I led the development of a custom headless WordPress website, designed to seamlessly integrate with the digital learning platform my.heggerty.org using WordPress and React. This approach provided flexibility, scalability, and faster load times, ensuring a smooth experience for educators and students accessing Heggerty’s literacy resources.

The project began with a high-fidelity interactive mockup in Figma, allowing for stakeholder input and iterative refinement before development. This ensured the final product met both user needs and organizational goals.

To enhance data visibility and decision-making, I implemented server-side tracking, offering deeper insights into the user journey and engagement patterns. This data-driven approach enables Heggerty to refine content, improve accessibility, and better serve educators.

The end result is a modern, scalable digital experience that not only supports Heggerty’s mission of improving literacy education but also positions the organization for future growth and innovation.

I developed a hybrid B2C and B2B e-commerce system seamlessly integrated with Salesforce to optimize both direct consumer sales and business procurement. For B2C, I created a streamlined shopping experience with a frictionless checkout, while for B2B, I built a custom request-a-quote system that filters qualified leads, automatically creates opportunities in Salesforce, and alerts the sales team for follow-up. Unqualified leads are seamlessly redirected to the B2C storefront for a smooth purchasing experience. This integration enhances lead qualification, sales efficiency, and conversion rates, providing a scalable solution for both self-service buyers and high-touch B2B sales.

Heggerty has revolutionized its online experience by shifting from a traditional B2C e-commerce model to a B2B-focused solution tailored specifically for educators and institutions. Central to this transformation is a newly implemented multi-step Gravity Form that guides users through a streamlined custom quote-building process. Previously, users spent an average of 50 minutes manually adding items to their cart. With the new system, users can complete their quote in just 4.5 minutes.

This new approach has not only enhanced user experience but also driven impressive results. In the first month of implementation, the streamlined process increased revenue by 17%. Every form entry is fully integrated with Marketo and Salesforce, enabling automated lead nurturing, campaign tracking, and actionable sales insights. This seamless integration ensures the sales team receives complete and accurate data, allowing for faster follow-ups and higher efficiency.
