Since 1989, Programming Solutions, Inc. has been a dedicated provider of quality software consulting, systems analysis, development, and network services.
PSI’s first major project with the DHS, started with the development of the State of Minnesota’s welfare system, called MAXIS. As a core vendor for this project, we performed analysis, design, and project lead responsibilities for the Benefit Issuance, Financial Management, Claims and Recoveries, and Food Stamp Eligibility sub-systems. Our staff led the development of the Food Stamp EBT system one of the first in the nation.
The PSI team has worked on more than 35 public and private sector projects, primarily within the Department of Human Services and Department of Justice.
They have worked on numerous government projects for the States of Minnesota, South Dakota, Alaska and California and for the Territories of American Samoa and US Virgin Islands.
PSI is a 30+ year-old African American owned technology company that specializes in project development and staffing solutions for financial systems, legacy system modernization, software customization, web application development and integrations.
The Strategy
To achieve our strategy, we did early in-the-field research to understand their organization both physically and personally. We toured their facilities and met their team to capture their aesthetic and vibe. This understanding of the brand was key to creating a website that was authentic to Programming Solutions Inc.
The strategy for this project would have to begin with collaboration. We knew PSI was passionate about their website, and would want to stay close to the process. Vizionality immediately scheduled team interviews and planning meetings to figure out what would make everyone’s job easier and more successful. We heard both pain points and wish lists from the people who actually have to use the site every day.

Measurable Outcomes / Impact
After creating a platform that properly elevated their brand, communicated to their audiences, and enabled their teams to manage relevant information, Programming Solutions Inc was ready to take things a step further. They wanted now to elevate the design and production of communications materials for programs, events, and fundraising campaigns. All the work Vizionality had done to get to know their brand positioned us to easily pivot, as well as already having the team, partners, and processes in place.
Programming Solutions Inc was pleased to inform us of an increase in productivity, especially in their Communications and Development teams, because of our project management and long-term strategy.
